Don't get caught out, not all infrared radiation has the same effect on your body. Health Mate is the only infrared sauna manufacturer in the world to use Tecoloy® infrared heating elements. Tecoloy® infrared heat is generated at a wavelength that is perfectly in tune with our bodies, and therefore creates a therapeutic effect. Cheaper versions with inferior infrared heaters provide no long-term health benefits. On these cheaper options, the heat is nice, but the effect ends once you step out of your sauna.
Infrared light has a wavelength that varies between 750 - 10,000 nanometres. It is the wavelength that determines the effect that infrared radiation has on your body. Only infrared waves between 5,600 - 8,000 nanometres have a real therapeutic effect, known as 'deep level therapy'.

What Happens?
At 6,340 nanometres, infrared light sets the microscopic water molecules in our body in motion, which in turn creates heat. Our blood circulation accelerates and ensures bloody flow to every cell in our body (deep-level therapy), and so begins the healing effects of infrared radiation - muscle and joint soreness disappears, our immune system gets a boost and cells are renewed.
Cheaper infrared Saunas are often just mere heat cabins. Those that generate less than 5,600 nanometres are heat cabins. Heat cabins can be great, but you only get health benefits from a real infrared sauna.

Shipping
Shipping is FREE on all orders to our customers in UK. If your order is in stock we'll ship it within 5 working days from the date of your order. Shipping usually takes between 3-5 working days.
Damages
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage, you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged please send photos of the damage, box & SKU, along with a brief description of the damage to info@athleterecovery.co.uk and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf. Photos and videos must be sent for freight damage within 24 hours of arrival or the freight damage claim will not be valid. Any punctures or visible signs of exterior damage must be reported within 24 hours.
Returns
If you need to exchange your product, you may do so. You, as the customer, are responsible for any shipping costs throughout any returns and exchange processes.
All orders that are unboxed and still in original packaging are subject to a full refund if returned within 30 days of purchase. Items that have been unpackaged will be subject to a restocking fee (plus the shipping charge). Usually this fee will be 20% of the total, however this can be confirmed on receipt of the product once it's been returned to the warehouse.
If you are exchanging the product with something else, we may be able to help you cover some of the costs depending on the product.
